Four things I built because the work needed them. Two are calculators that run in this page and keep nothing; the third is a desktop application that keeps your files on your own machine; the fourth is an internal tool for reviewing customer contracts, used with your own ChatGPT or Claude account. All of them are free, and none of them ask for an account on this site.
Reinforcing steel weight
Diameter to kilos per metre, per bar and per tonne, and a tonnage back to a number of bars. Nominal weights, with a note on where the tolerance band sits.
Steel section weight
182 sizes across IPE, HEA, HEB, UPN, angles, bars and flats, plus pipe and tube from entered dimensions. Computed from each section's own geometry, with the commercial band around the nominal figure.
RebarPlan
Bar bending schedule and cutting plan in one program: cut lengths to BS 8666 or ACI / SBC 304, weight per diameter, and the fewest 12 m bars to cut the job from. Arabic, English and Chinese; free and open source.
OpenPDFKit
Thirteen everyday PDF tools, merge to OCR, running entirely offline on Windows and macOS. Open source, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
